There are 2 methods to get your data (and account) deleted by Opal Travel:

1. Under GDPR: EU/UK Residents have the right to ask (via email), an organization that holds data about them to delete it. This is known as the ‘right to erasure’. Organizations have one month to respond to the request.


2. Under CCPA: California residents have the right to request that a company delete the data/personal information it has on them. A failure to comply with this will result in a fine of upto $7,500.

• Hi! I am new to opal and I just made this account not realising I was using an email address I am permanently deleting. Due to my information being leaked. The opal card information too that I had linked I set up just tonight was the card my friend gave me so I could get home. I only logged on to see my balance realising I couldn’t get home. I have another account with opal and want to permanently delete this one please and manage this opal card on my other account which I will be using. my mistake too as I can actually get a pension card and just realised this now as I made the account, along with my request for my new card on that account.
