About Safety Plan App

1. Similar to the App developed by the Robert Enke Foundation (EnkeApp), the Safety Plan App is designed to help you in a crisis situation.

2. Those affected by depression, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, borderline personality disorders, addictive disorders and even bulimia or binge eating often create safety plans to help them manage difficult situations.

3. The value of a safety plan has been proven in several acclaimed psychotherapies, for example in cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

4. With the help of the Safety Plan App you can easily access your safety plan at any time on your smartphone.

5. The App acts like a notebook, allowing you simply to enter the steps of your personal safety plan so that they can be quickly accessed.

6. With the aid of this App you can access your own safety plan quickly and easily on your smartphone.

7. Important: make sure that you create your safety plan together with a psychotherapist.

8. You need to enter the telephone numbers of your own contacts who will be able to help you in a crisis. Why not give it a go?

9. Having done that, you can then simply enter it into the App so that it is easy to retrieve from your smartphone at any time.

10. The App also enables you to view your coping strategies and get in touch with people who can help.

11. The App is not intended to recognise, prevent, monitor, treat or alleviate illnesses.

12. In a psychological crisis it is important to act quickly.

13. There is, however, no paid service provided.
