Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Plagly Issues

1. Fix Plagly Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Plagly: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Plagly App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Plagly" » Open Plagly - Plagiarism Checker » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Plagly » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Plagly - Plagiarism Checker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Plagly servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Plagly - Plagiarism Checker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Plagly app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Plagly might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Plagly. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Plagly then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Plagly not working


2. Fix Plagly Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Plagly be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Plagly not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Plagly may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I had received billing notification this morning. The website had told me there was a "free trial;" "Sign up 100% FREE today only!" I had never purchased the premium version, and would like immediate refund.

    In regards to your service policies, if you are willing to send me a comprehensive list of company policies and statements, I am willing to discuss the matter further with you and my family legal representation at the earliest convenience. I am quite baffled by the issue. I hope this gets resolved in a swift manner and I hope to hear from you soon.

  • My account was cancelled several months ago. Today whilst doing some personal admin I note an upcoming "Pending" payment for £8.29. On further investigation, I note the following transactions since my account was cancelled:
    12/01/2023 - £8.25
    12/12/2022 - £8.18
    12/11/2022 - £8.49
    I would be grateful for an explanation as to why these have been charged to my account, along with a prompt refund of the total erroneously billed.

  • Hi there, I signed up to plagarly to get the free demo subscription then went on to the website on the 18th December to cancel it before I was charged I as I did not want to subscribe, however, when I went on to the website there was no option to cancel my plan. However, I have gone on to the website today (after I have been charged) and there is now the option to cancel my plan, which I have done so. However, I am a student and am devastated that plagly has taken money out of my bank account as I was actually unable to cancel my plan before this, I do not have much money and after this payment am onto my last pounds. If you could help me resolve this issue I would be very grateful as I have got to pay for food to live off until I receive my next student loan.

  • The Software failed altogether. It just hung without even giving an explanation. Only one report in regard to a small portion was given and having paid for the service made no difference. Uploading credit card details did not seem to be processed so I abandoned the site. However you attempted to process a payment 3 months later.
    When I went to your site I found absolutely no way to cancel the subscription and no customer support.
    This is very poor service.
