About SIMPLEconnect®

1. Once your fan(s) are added to your SIMPLEconnect® account, activate the Amazon Alexa skill "Hunter – SIMPLEconnect® Smart Ceiling Fan" and enter your SIMPLEconnect® credentials to link your fan to Alexa control.

2. For Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa functionality, pair your device in SIMPLEconnect® app first.

3. Google Assistant process: To use your fan with Google Assistant, first, add your device(s) in the SIMPLEconnect® app, then activate Google Assistant.

4. Amazon Alexa process: To use your fan with Alexa, first, add your device(s) in the SIMPLEconnect® app.

SIMPLEconnect Customer Insights

1. I've never had this issue with any other devices connected.Terrible App! Worked fine for a while, then I needed to change the WIFI password, and it was never able to reconnect again, even after deleting everything, uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

2. After many unresolved calls to customer service to reps who didn't know anything about their own products or services, we finally got it connected with the app via an Apple device.

3. Disappointed with how much we spent to have a smart fan connected to our Google home that didn't work.

4. The fans never stay connected to a smart device and some have never connected.

5. If you own a router made after 2015 where you are not able to pick whether or not your device is connected to 2.4 or 5.0 Ghz then do not even bother.

6. I am connected to a network prior to connecting to my fans wifi.

7. Last, a schedule feature seems like an easy and obvious improvement.Trying to connect fan is likely pulling teeth.

8. Did try to connect this with Google Assistant, but because of this issue, it's not worth the effort.It took me 2 years to set it up via app.

9. I got my remote control back working and it disconnected me from my simple connect.

10. Update: I finally got into the app, after lots of lots and lots of tries, and set up the simple connect and it disconnected my remote control.

11. Even after connecting them, at least 60-70% of the time they will not respond to the smart device.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SIMPLEconnect Issues

1. Fix SIMPLEconnect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SIMPLEconnect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SIMPLEconnect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SIMPLEconnect" » Open SIMPLEconnect® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SIMPLEconnect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SIMPLEconnect® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SIMPLEconnect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SIMPLEconnect®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SIMPLEconnect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SIMPLEconnect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SIMPLEconnect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SIMPLEconnect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SIMPLEconnect not working


2. Fix SIMPLEconnect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SIMPLEconnect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SIMPLEconnect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SIMPLEconnect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
