1. German bureaucracy and technology at their finest.Does what it supposed to do, large text font for accessibility, expected a bad app given the name (AusweisApp "2"?, does not necessarily build trust if there might have been a first one that did not work out..) but was pleasantly surprised.
2. NFC card reading works like a charm (at least for now)There is just one thing missing, the online help site needs urgently an update about the ports we need to open for a successful peering with the desktop app.
3. NFC reader works fine the first time to change the transport PIN to the 6 digit personal PIN but already the next attempt to see what data is stored on the card reliably fails.
4. I guess there would be a huge problem here if the card you are using is not a supported form of ID, right? But such a system would be a complete waste of time and never be implemented, right... right??! It's all so dumb.Just made everything worse.
5. I even made sure that I disabled "AP/ Client Isolation" in my router, though I can not find my phone on the menu "Available remote devices" in my Laptop. You need a PIN to create your own PIN.
6. I have been trying to connect my smart phone as a card reader with my Laptop.
7. But then it workedI was trying to connect my smartphone as a cardreader for about an hour and my laptop just didn't see it, although i literally did everything right, checked my connection multiple times, I've even watched an explanation youtube video and did everything it said and still n o t h i n g.
8. But when that first PIN doesn't work, you can ask for a new PIN using the PIN on your card.
9. Options that lead to dead ends and a letter with codes that didn't work mean I'm now locked out.
10. Myself as a linux desktop user, it took me a while to figure out that i had to disable my firewall for this to work.
11. Unnecessary security checks, that should be in back-end, and absolute unclear navigation... that is the best example of usability catastrophe.
