Citi Customer Insights

1. This app is super user friendly and I'm glad that I downloaded it.I've been with Citi Mobile for nine years now and I've watched it grow from a not so user friendly app, into a user friendly application over night.

2. Payments are ridiculously involved including them requiring you to log into your payer account (even if it's at a totally different bank) which prompts all security questions and password access.

3. I've tried calling and chatting with customer service but no one seems to know what I'm talking about.After 2 years with Citi, all I have are good things to say.

4. With Citi, they gave me a golden opportunity to gain traction on my credit and expand on a healthy (for me) credit line.

5. so annoying that its suggested that you set these notifications for security reason so you can see if your card is being used fraudulently but the notifications don't work.

6. I hope I never need to use it all, but it's nice to know it's there if I do.Since I last updated about a week ago, it has been running slightly slower than before.

7. That doesn't bother me as much as this: Right now, when I try to check my brokerage account, every section (holdings, news, etc) only shows "Our system is experiencing temporary delays.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Citi Issues

1. Fix Citi Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Citi: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Citi App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Citi" » Open Citi Mobile® » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Citi » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Citi Mobile® app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Citi servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Citi Mobile®" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Citi app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Citi might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Citi. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Citi then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Citi not working


2. Fix Citi Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Citi be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Citi not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Citi may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
