1. Very unstable appStill not fixed since last summer, extremely inefficient, new Home screen is terrible & my condemnations are echoed by not only here in Google Play, but others who have complained directly to BBG - Forced useless uncustomizable news feeds -Only access to 1 worksheet on the home screen, forced to go through multiple pages for others, mind bogglingly inefficient - Even "My News" which can only be customized when logged in on the Terminal, injects unwanted subjects/topics & also rearranges themThe latest version has a bad bug where it's impossible to scroll past the first phone screen's worth of an email message in the MSG part of the app.

2. Why do you keep making inefficient changes to the user interface? When pushing the back button after reading a message it returns you all the way to the home screen rather than the message screen, so it takes 3 touches rather than 1 to get back to the next message.

3. Also on Chromebook, when you're using a different app and not logged into the Bloomberg app, it sometime pops up on screen spontaneously, covering up what you're doing.They have unfortunately removed the ability to customize your homepage in favor of an algorithm that predicts what you want to see.

4. One of the oddest development errors I can imagine.I am really struggling with the "Securities" page, as I use a tablet with a keyboard, and the app automatically rotates to full screen price chart with no option to see the remaining information on the "Securities" landing page.

5. It is as if you are tanking the app on purpose.Bloomberg have decided to replace the "home" screen where I could easily swipe through my worksheets with the utterly useless "today" screen.

6. Bloomberg is being grossly incompetent by pushing through an "update" that very negatively impacts its paying customers.Android version of the app is not built properly.

7. Why make it unnecessarily inefficient? Isn't reading messages a key use of this app? UPDATE: This was fixed in a recent update.

8. Thanks for the quick turnaround!When tablet is in landscape mode, the app will only show the equity chart.

9. - i presume this is intended functionality for phones, but is unacceptable for a tablet, where it is often used with a keyboard and in landscape mode.

10. You need to bring the "home" screen back.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Bloomberg Professional Issues

1. Fix Bloomberg Professional Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Bloomberg Professional: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Bloomberg Professional App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Bloomberg Professional" » Open Bloomberg Professional » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Bloomberg Professional » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Bloomberg Professional app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Bloomberg Professional servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Bloomberg Professional" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Bloomberg Professional app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Bloomberg Professional might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Bloomberg Professional. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Bloomberg Professional then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Bloomberg Professional not working


2. Fix Bloomberg Professional Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Bloomberg Professional be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Bloomberg Professional not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Bloomberg Professional may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
