2. • Translate between any pair of the 100 languages when you’re online. • Translate from French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, or Turkish to English while offline: download these languages and enable the offline mode in Settings. • Speak words or phrases in Russian, Ukrainian, English, or Turkish to translate them into any of these languages, or have the app read the translations to you. • Learn new words and their meanings through usage examples in the app’s dictionary (available for most of the currently supported languages). • Take a picture of a menu, road sign, book page or choose a photo with text from your Camera Roll to view its translation right over the image (only available when you are online). • Select and translate single words or phrases in other apps on your smartphone running Android 6. 0. • Enjoy the app’s time-saving predictive typing function and automated language detection. • Save translations in Favorites and view your translation history at any time.
1. It's still far superior to the google translator because it's made by people who understand the context of the language - at this point I'm using it for speed and ease of translation (as well as a bit of laziness in making my own sentences).Only free app I've found that does offline VOICE translations.
2. If I want to talk to someone in Spanish, I just pull my phone out, record them, and WALAA! I understand what they're saying without having to be online! Sure, some other apps do that, but you have to PAY to use that feature on those apps.
3. This is a very good tool for learning Russian! Для меня, reading many examples is much more effective than what other dedicated learning apps, such as Memrise and Duolingo, do.
4. It's a great tool for learning Russian language, as it gives the examples of the words along with their roots.
5. Haven't tried the voice input, wish it had more voice options, and I tried installing other voices but kind of messed it up.
6. I would like to be able to tell the app that I would prefer one voice over the other (either because I talk to a friend or because I talk to a group).
7. For other languages, it is as good as Google/Bing, although it does not have as wide a selection as the other two.User-friendly and smooth interface.
8. The default is to the male voice, particularly in past tense, and I would like to be able to write an "I past tense" sentence with a female voice, so a toggle back and forth for that would be equally helpful and useful.
9. Only caveat is that you have to download an additional language pack for the 2 languages you want to translate between offline.
10. Plus it has a ton of other important features, like most other translators, like translating pictures and text, all for FREE! Can't beat that with a stick! It's okay.
11. i really love this appFor translations from/to Russian or any Slavic language, it has no rivals; Google/Bing don't even come close.
