CheckBook PRO Customer Insights

1. Should have read reviews, no way to add transactions that will overdraft account, no way to show transaction has cleared the bank, I even paid the Xtra $$ to upgrade thinking I needed the upgraded version, nope still cant...this is nothing but a glorified Excell spreadsheet, with less functions of Excell.I like the look and I think this software has a lot of potential.

2. The intention may be to use the "description" field for the payee name, but that would defeat the purpose of using the description field as a kind of "notes" field ("Shirt for Tommy," "Paint for the bedroom," etc).

3. Also, there is no option for mailing a transaction as "cleared." Hopefully, the developer will address this.I like everything except that it doesn't let you add a transaction date in the future.

4. 1st issue is not being able to put a future date in the ledger.

5. This app isn't worth it to pay for it.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY If there was a choice at -10 stars, i would have gave that.

6. I pay my bills at one time and sometimes my bills don't process until a future date.

7. One glaring omission that I can see after just a few minutes of use: There is no "payee" field.

8. Please change this!!I purchased the full version and it wouldn't upgrade.

9. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!Don't pay for the upgrade.

10. BUT the biggest red flag of this app is that after awhile you must pay a monthly fee or the 7 something to keep using it.

11. Won't allow me to add debit/credits that will happen in the future.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CheckBook PRO Issues

1. Fix CheckBook PRO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CheckBook PRO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CheckBook PRO App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CheckBook PRO" » Open CheckBook PRO » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CheckBook PRO » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CheckBook PRO app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CheckBook PRO servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CheckBook PRO" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CheckBook PRO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CheckBook PRO might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CheckBook PRO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CheckBook PRO then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CheckBook PRO not working


2. Fix CheckBook PRO Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CheckBook PRO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CheckBook PRO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CheckBook PRO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
