1. On a serious note I've had this app on various different phones on and off the past eightish years, always hoping "maybe this time it will work!" After dusting off my powershot sx720, I decided to give Canon Camera Connect another chance for old times' sake, and I wasn't sure whether to trust the immediate good luck I had this time around or not, but after a few days, I have yet to have a single failed command.
2. What's so sad/discouraging is that it seems other customers are having the same problem yet NO response/resolution! C'mon Canon!!After an hour and a half of trying to get my camera connected to the app, I finally got it to connect to my phone and started to import my pictures.
3. Frustrating experience after spending so much for the Canon body.Tried for an hour to register a camera 0 luck.
4. This is the last straw with Canon products, you lost a customer.Pointless. My camera used to connect easily to my smartphone.
5. One extremely nice feature is that I was able to install the most recent firmware upgrade just using my phone and the app on my phone... no need to connect to a computer and download it like before.
6. I tried both the cameras network and my home network with out any ability to register the camera with the phone.
7. I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting along with switching the wifi to a wireless modem instead of the camera's internal wifi.
8. I use camera connect with a Google pixel 7 pro and a Canon R5.
9. I spent an hour trying to register my camera to no luck.
10. it's absolutely infuriating.I used the app for the past 6 years for transfer of a few shots with out the need to connect the memory card but now it's completely useless.
11. It's still not working, and honestly, after spending almost three hours trying to fix this, it's not worth it.My bad, it actually works just fine when going through the Bluetooth route.
