1. If you want a good review - fix it!07/27/22 It's been 3 months and I still can't use a credit card to add a balance to my account, I have to go to a store to do it.

2. I should be able to purchase paquetes with my credit card as well as a wallet balance.After registering, I was sent an unencrypted email containing my own password in plaintext.

3. For example, I was told at the Movistar store I needed money in my wallet to pay for paquetes, instead of just being able to purchase paquetes with my credit card.

5. I was also confused by a zero balance when I knew I still had time and data remaining.. (This is just feedback, I don't need a reply.)Not very user friendly.

7. Now I have a gift for being a customer for these many months, and cannot get to it because the app does not work! Before you begin to answer this with "try this, and try that", I HAVE tried This and That, and it just doesn't work.

8. 03/2020 Wouldn't allow me to add funds THEN after 12 hours it let me add funds but wouldn't let me buy a package ... THEN it wouldn't show me my account info for about 2 days.

9. Since that includes payment information, the app is not useable for its primary purpose: topping up an account balance.Bad experience.

10. The developers of this app do not know what they are doing with respect to security: don't trust the app with any information you wouldn't want to be public.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Mi Liberty Issues

1. Fix Mi Liberty Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Mi Liberty: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Mi Liberty App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Mi Liberty" » Open Mi Liberty » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Mi Liberty » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Mi Liberty app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Mi Liberty servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Mi Liberty" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Mi Liberty app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Mi Liberty might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Mi Liberty. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Mi Liberty then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Mi Liberty not working


2. Fix Mi Liberty Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Mi Liberty be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Mi Liberty not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Mi Liberty may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hola tengo contrato con Movie star como 6 anos...telephono 6067 3300..Sabados me robaron, y hoy fui para Moviestar en Perez Zeledon para consuiguir nuevo telephono.....y presente my cedular que esta vencido Augusto 4 2022.. y no me permito firma otro contrato con Moviestar con este cedular,
    para comprar telephono nuevo.....yo, compre telephono antes.. y en todo tiempo hize todos mi pagos en tiempo..yo explique que con los problemas que tiene govierno con sistemas de internet..todavia uno no se puede renovar su cedular..tengo esperar hasta 30 d e Septiembre para ver que es el situacion..Yo offreci mi licensia..mi pasaporte,,pero no me ayudo para Nada..No Maresco este tipo de mal servicio..Mi # de cedular es 184002101329

  • 62831172 I am OLD and I only use my phone for emergencies. I do not have it attached to my body as an appendage. Since Liberty acquired Movistar they have sent "texts" to my phone that keeps it awake until the battery dies. These texts are solicitations for plans and I mistakenly clicked OK to one and they now ROB me of at least 375 colones everyday. I want them to stop sending me texts, remove all plans they have me signed up for and allow me to have phone service.
