QualityTime Customer Insights

1. Should enable me to remove something from my usage history, for whatever reason (wrong estimate, didn't want that app tracked, etc)I use this app to prevent me from accessing game apps and social media apps during times that I need to be not distracted by those things - over night when I should be sleeping, and in the morning when I need to focus on getting ready for the day.

2. Being able to set multiple scheduled breaks, when a scheduled break repeats, and what apps are allowed during each scheduled break really makes this app quite useful.

3. There are exceptions to the time an app had been open if I haven't been putting my attention on it the whole time it was open, so snooze time options would be nice.

4. I can't split screen apps because I can't use the recent apps drawer.I've been using QualityTime for years and it is very helpful for my easily distracted mind.

5. I only have one small complaint/request: Can the list of allowed apps that you can access during a break please be organized alphabetically? It's hard to find what you need when they are in completely random order.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix QualityTime Issues

1. Fix QualityTime Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart QualityTime: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the QualityTime App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "QualityTime" » Open QualityTime : Phone Addiction » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for QualityTime » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear QualityTime : Phone Addiction app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from QualityTime servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "QualityTime : Phone Addiction" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check QualityTime app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, QualityTime might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall QualityTime. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall QualityTime then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing QualityTime not working


2. Fix QualityTime Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make QualityTime be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to QualityTime not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, QualityTime may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
