1. Update! When i open the files i create with this app in my desktop monitor, the quality is horrible.. Even if i use 100% output quality, the layers style is of a low quality and smear all the image! Is good only for smartphones display.Edit - this app need to take advantage of the new phones with multiple lenes! Really good black and white control.
2. The ability to switch out digitally simulated color lens filters on a black and white live view, though, is really cool and a great way to learn.Ok, so this app takes great pictures.. But everything else is terrible.
3. there are many settings, filters and textures to create endless styles of B&W photos.
4. I've been in IT for 20+ years and haven't seen or worked with a single developer who could write good code or software that worked right if they fail at everything else involved with an app.
5. As it is one time purchase, not some ridiculously expensive subscription model, I proceed to purchase all the filter & the textures packages.
6. I just don't know if I paid twice for some or not.For non-photographer to explore b&w: easy pleasing interface but is missing critical info/control: No histogram, and no info or control of shutter speed or iso.
7. The About section is some ambiguous blurb about a collective of photographers and their "stories" but good luck finding them b/c guess what, no link or explanation of how.
8. You have to go to share>other and upload to Google photos, And despite being able to select multiple photos, it will only allow you to do It one at a time.
9. Pretty good! Makes me want to pull out my old K1000! Annoying things: 1) Camera settings are lost between uses.
10. So you just have to trust the auto exposure and squint and guess while you're editing whether or not shadows or highlights are blocked out, and that'll depend on your phone's screen brightness.
11. Wish I didn't have to turn on the yellow filter each time I open the app.
