RISER Customer Insights

1. I was able to successfully plan a ride to a campground on Monday using the "Destination" tab, but when I then select the "Roundtrip" tab, instead of helping me make a round trip of it, it deletes the original route and makes up a completely different new route, and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to modify the new route.

2. (c) On Tuesday I managed to plan a route using designated points, but the RISER app connected those points in illogical ways, failing to find the logical route between points and instead circling back and repeating large segments of the route.

3. ***Update after a week of use*** -- I found that things worked smoothly if I used another app to plan the route and just used RISER to record the route.

4. Finally, after spending 3 hours riding the route, RISER then failed to save the ride, so I'm missing those 83 miles for the WAW, and I'm missing the completion of the Tuesday WAW challenge.

5. (d) RISER also chose to orient the route in the opposite direction from the direction I wanted to ride it, and failed to re-orient to my direction as I rode the route.

6. I do like being able to record ride routes with photos associated with specific points along the route.

7. Also I found that I could successfully take a picture along the route from within the RISER app so long as the phone is in "portrait" orientation ... which is a curious limitation given that the form-factor of a phone photo lends itself well to a "landscape" photo of the scenery.

8. RISER needs more work to be a useful planning tool, and to eliminate some odd limitations.I love the live tracking giving my family friends the ability to track the ride.

9. (b) I *was* able to simply record the return ride, however, the RISER app saved none of the pictures that I took within the app -- the only picture that I can find is one I took outside the RISER app.

10. When creating a route within RISER the options for creating the app seem bugging.

11. I didnt give it 5 stars because I'm still trying to figure out how if you plan a route how to get back to navigation screen on the map if you click off or pause the navigation.
