1. It always happens the same way: I start the app at home where the base station is, it connects to the base station and works fine, then I go out, the app loses connection with the base station (icon turns red) but keeps on running, but when I check the phone after I returned home the icon's gone and the app is not running.

2. Later: It wasn't good and now it became even worse: why the heck version 2.7 needs access to camera? Why not only it requests access to location but refuses to work if it is not on? 2.6 didn't need any of it and worked... well, not very well, but it worked without it.It works for demo purposes only.. For real life use , it is useless.

3. But is totally useless, unless they will try to update the software.Using it for the past month; Works as advertised... but has too many annoying bugs for a Panasonic brand; Able to make and recieve calls from my Galaxy Note Lite and also a Oppo v7.

4. Very expensive landline phone, so pull your finger out Panasonic and provide a half decent app - or contact me and I'll make one for you.Good idea but poorly executed.

5. I've rebooted the base station, deleted the connection to the station, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, etc.

6. DECT handset to smartphone and smartphone to DECT work fine, but other smartphones are just not listed in the intercom list of the app.

7. But the issue is the software.. I bought this device for the ability to use my mobile phone as a client.

8. The most annoying is that periodically stops: status bar icon disappears, and it won't react to landline calls.

9. Excellent landline phone, excellent concept to connect to smartphone.

10. It was never much use anyway.Besides the poor connection and manual restarts required which I could almost live with, the battery drain is ridiculous.

11. Now trying to reinstall everything it just says that the base station is not responding.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Smartphone Connect Issues

1. Fix Smartphone Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Smartphone Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Smartphone Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Smartphone Connect" » Open Smartphone Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Smartphone Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Smartphone Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Smartphone Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Smartphone Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Smartphone Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Smartphone Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Smartphone Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Smartphone Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Smartphone Connect not working


2. Fix Smartphone Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Smartphone Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Smartphone Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Smartphone Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
