Nike Run Club Customer Insights

1. Now I'm going to try a clean install, but I've lost my workout.The guided runs and the training plans are great! Unfortunately in recent months, the app has had problems ending runs, having to force stop the app through the phone settings in order to end the run.

2. The third is that sometimes even if you pause a run, it'll still keep playing, thus confusing you and making you not sure if your running is being counted or notGreat app, generally love the guided runs and data tracked, and the training plans.

3. Automatic crashes if I try to add a heart rate monitor, does not save runs sometimes, logs me out every other day, and does not let me review recent runs sometimes.

4. I find that the audio sometimes gets cut off for guided runs.

5. I wanted to do speed runs to switch up my usual distance runs.

6. This is a thousand times better! Guided runs are really helpful.

7. This app hasn't worked properly for me in the past few years, for such a large company you'd think they would get it right at some point.Constantly gets stuck finishing a run, when trying to back out it gives you the option to discard run which obviously isn't what you would want.

8. I really like the guided runs! I used to use Map My Run.

9. Which makes runs like speed runs really hard to follow.

10. One is that you can't download all your favorite runs and keep them downloaded.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Nike Run Club Issues

1. Fix Nike Run Club Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Nike Run Club: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Nike Run Club App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Nike Run Club" » Open Nike Run Club - Running Coach » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Nike Run Club » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Nike Run Club - Running Coach app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Nike Run Club servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Nike Run Club - Running Coach" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Nike Run Club app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Nike Run Club might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Nike Run Club. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Nike Run Club then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Nike Run Club not working


2. Fix Nike Run Club Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Nike Run Club be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Nike Run Club not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Nike Run Club may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • On the Nike Running Club app, v7.1.1, there are tabulation errors. I have run a total of 31.0 miles in January 2021 (as of 01/10/2021) as shown in the 'Activity' tab. But, in the 'Leadership' tab, it shows that I have run more: 37.03 miles. There is a discrepancy between total monthly mileage reported in the two tabs. Please help rectify.

  • Hi!
    My nike run club has suddenly started measuring my standard runs radically differently -- eg. what used to be a 4km now measuring at 5km. I am running the same route - what is going on?!
    Please contact me for screenshots, or my login is "Eva Pappenheim".
    Contrast for example my runs on 05/05/20 (measures 4km) and on 23/11/20 (measures 5km). All runs since October (admittedly only 3 runs in that period...) are showing the same issue. Thanks!

  • Hi. My Saturday Evening Run (07/11/2020) of 9.5km has been recorded on the app but not logged on the 200km November Challenge leaderboard created by my friend. This is very frustrating as it helps to motivate me, and naturally not having my efforts rewarded has the opposite effect. Please sort this or let me know how. Thanks, Callum
