1. Can't really comment.Looks extremely clean on tablet and no issues yet (have had for a few months now)Great newspaper! I value any app that helps me read this kind of quality reporting.User directions are hard to find and unclear.In reading the Region section, I find less and less articles about our LOCAL region, and more articles about other parts of the state or even New England.

2. Can't reporters find enough interesting material within our local area which the Day circulates to write about? If this is our primary source for Regional news, I would think there would be enough topics to write and inform the local folk who buy this paper to write about.Without service for 5 days.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix The Day Issues

1. Fix The Day Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart The Day: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the The Day App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "The Day" » Open The Day » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for The Day » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear The Day app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from The Day servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "The Day" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check The Day app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, The Day might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall The Day. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall The Day then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing The Day not working


2. Fix The Day Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make The Day be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to The Day not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, The Day may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
