Stock Plan Customer Insights

1. The dialog asking to sign in on desktop has a vague message that suggests there may be something to do there but doesn't say what (could it just say "for security reasons we need you to sign in on desktop as well"?) Otherwise the application seems to be working fine.

2. Tells me I need to log in on desktop to update contact info and won't let me sign in on my phone.

3. It keeps saying that I need to login on a desktop to update my contact info.

4. WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING AN APP IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO USE IT?The first-time sign in is very unclear, it requires you to also sign in on a desktop, but doesn't appear to require any action there.

5. Installed it, entered my credentials, then got a message saying this version of the app isn't compatible with my account and I need to install the "classic" version.

6. So I searched for the classic version, but it doesn't exist on the Play Store.

7. It's still possible to do that, but it's so painful that it's easier to go find my laptop or desktop and use the website (and even that is somewhat worse for simple transactions) -- I now only use the app when I can't possibly get to a computer.The app is completely unusable.

8. Then it started telling me my login credentials were wrong, but yet they worked fine using a browser.

9. I manually updated contact info and still can't sign in through the app.POS. Used to work well.

10. And after I login to the website, the app still doesn't work.

11. The login page wont let you login until you "update your information" which you have to do in a browser.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Stock Plan Issues

1. Fix Stock Plan Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Stock Plan: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Stock Plan App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Stock Plan" » Open Stock Plan » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Stock Plan » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Stock Plan app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Stock Plan servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Stock Plan" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Stock Plan app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Stock Plan might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Stock Plan. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Stock Plan then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Stock Plan not working


2. Fix Stock Plan Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Stock Plan be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Stock Plan not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Stock Plan may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello

    I left the CITIGROUP London in 2008 but have still got shares in my STOCKPLAN CONNECT account, although I know I have shares and receive paper statements I have never accessed this account. I have JUST now been asked by Morgan Stanley, New York to log into this account to stop the state of Delaware acquiring my shares by the 10 April 2022. Having spoken to Morgan Stanley, New York I have been asked to provide them with my Employee ID No and My Global ID No.
