Barometer Customer Insights

1. Gps location teardrop icon upon touching it will display a message that it's locating but no further location info appears on main screen.

2. Pulls other weather data on 2nd screen from a service, but does not share what is the source of that data.

3. App will read the barometer built into your phone if you go to settings and select internal sensor.

This app could get another star if it was clearer what the GPS location teardrop icon does.App won't allow me to Enter Locations; but, instead, Demands to Utilize "Location"; WHICH, Uses Battery Power that I Cannot Afford to Use.Pretty basic - mostly an ad for other apps.Not working with this devices internal.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Barometer Issues

1. Fix Barometer Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Barometer: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Barometer App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Barometer" » Open Barometer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Barometer » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Barometer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Barometer servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Barometer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Barometer app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Barometer might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Barometer. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Barometer then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Barometer not working


2. Fix Barometer Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Barometer be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Barometer not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Barometer may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
