1. My trip took longer and was about 15 miles longer than if I had just stayed on the freeway in the first place.Sometimes the voice doesn't give warning ahead far enough to turns and exits, but sometimes they're excellent.

2. This app suggested an alternate route using surface streets that bypassed the freeway congestion...which worked great until it was time to re enter the freeway and the entrance ramp was closed! The app wasn't aware of that.

3. It no longer hooks up to my Bluetooth , I don't have voice directions, it stops in the middle of the trip , it gives me wrong directions, it takes me in circles.

4. It COMPLETELY mIssed exits, gave distance/turn directions AFTER the turns and failed to indicate N,S,E,W for routes (ex stay left to take I95, should be stay left to take I95 South).

5. Overall, 5 stars for sure.Used MapQuest since all the way back in the computer & printer days, it has always been my directions app, but it is so horifically glitchy now I'm deleting and trying Waze.

6. The only other thing is I wish it would ask if you are sure you want to delete if you go back too far.when I very first downloaded this app several years ago, it was fantastic! However, over the past view updates, it has become increasingly unusable for me.

7. Now that I'm doing a trip and need it, it doesn't do voice anymore no matter how I try to fix it on android.

8. MapQuest randomly spits out new directions while en route, it randomly closes and stops navigating and I only know if I look over at the phone and see it no longer running.

11. The houses may be built or may be just a cleared lot but it's confusing when you click on the next closest place you need to go it is not the same address you punched in.

1. Fix MapQuest Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart MapQuest: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the MapQuest App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MapQuest" » Open MapQuest: Get Directions » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MapQuest » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear MapQuest: Get Directions app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MapQuest servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MapQuest: Get Directions" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check MapQuest app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MapQuest might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall MapQuest. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MapQuest then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MapQuest not working

2. Fix MapQuest Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MapQuest be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MapQuest not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MapQuest may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
