Wirepay Customer Insights

1. ThanksThe worst, useless and most fraudulent money transfer app I've ever used in my life, first of all they charge you very high fees and promise you currency conversion services, just to decieve people to deposit and after the deposit then everything in the app stops working, you can't withdraw or convert your money, your money will just be stuck in the app, my money has been stuck in the wire pay app this app, and I've been unable to withdraw my money it kept showing transaction failed, please helpRecently, I come to realize the technica issues your app have faced.

2. As for me I'll keep spreading bad publicity on your socials till my problem is solvEh! first experience My bank account was debited but my wirepay was not funded(only showed processing) and the money is kind of much ...after some hours I got it funded.

3. I made a deposit using my debit card, the money was debited from my account, it stayed for two days under processing, and then it failed.

4. Virtual card works without problem, fast transfer to bank account & customers support are effective.

5. My money spent six months in the app, I can neither transfer them no withdraw them to my account.

6. After registering and everything, just to verify my ID is a problem, thats where the isses lies, maybe i better find a better app that is flexible, and i hope Wirepay would fix this errorIt is no surprise that your rating score keeps dwindling by the day.

7. I then contacted their payment gateway Flutterwave, unfortunately, they responded almost immediately, telling me that the funds have been processed, and are under the custody of Wirepay.

8. I have been sending emails to the customer support, yet, no reply, almost a week now.

9. The one time I experienced a delay in my transaction, customer service followed up with me after I reached out and my issue was rectified within 24 hours.

10. I hope the quality of the app raises.I love the user interface, the setup and all benefits in it, but the app is totally useless to me and even a friend of mine who i referred.

11. I created an account with you and got some funds into it only to realise I needed to get verified before I withdraw.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Wirepay Issues

1. Fix Wirepay Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Wirepay: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Wirepay App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Wirepay" » Open Wirepay » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Wirepay » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Wirepay app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Wirepay servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Wirepay" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Wirepay app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Wirepay might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Wirepay. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Wirepay then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Wirepay not working


2. Fix Wirepay Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Wirepay be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Wirepay not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Wirepay may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello Wirepay Support,
    Please may I know what happened this afternoon that you suddenly deactivated my account without reaching out to me in any way?! You only sent a deactivation alert. Please, what was my offence? I tried funding my account severally until the last attempt that was successful, and I also sought to convert to other currencies, which feature wasn’t available at the time. So I decided to withdraw my money back into my local bank account, and after the successful withdrawal, all of a sudden, you blocked my account for “nefarious activities”! In what sense please?! Explain to me. And you never opened a channel of communication to justify your actions! I had to go online searching for hours on how to reach your support. Please, reopen my account, I have done nothing wrong. Thank you

Here is my complaint about a problem I encountered with your app Wirepay.I made a transaction of1047.97 with 35ghs as a charges total of 1443 ghs, the transaction makes as successful on the app and they even send me a confirmation email of the successful transaction but the Marchant didn't receive anything I was trying to reach they customer care but they didn't response to any of my message please help me to get my money back if the transaction is not truly successful but if it's successful help me with transaction ID not transaction reference because the Marchant told me that he can only track his money with transaction ID not transaction reference as the wirepay are only providing us with the transaction reference.
