1. No root needed (exceptions below). - Normally you pay 0. 99 or 1. - Start / Stop servers using WIFI / SMS / call / power or cronjob rules!
2. Or use the 'Trigger Server' for more! - Set a port, network interface to listen on, backlog, logging (to file), etc.
3. Start a server easily on the 'Simple' tab or go advanced and add users, allowed IP's and more!
4. For example a web server, database server or storage server!
5. Now you can run almost every server you can think of.
6. Multiple servers can be run at the same time!

1. You can use this to share your internet with other devices without using up your draconian hotspot data plan. The techie's Swiss Army knife! I love being able to access my phone's internal storage over a secure FTP connection, and being able to provide live demos for clients on their own systems without having to lug my laptop around! Even though my phone isn't rooted, the HTTP and FTP servers work fine for me, as do the TLS/SSL and login options associated with those servers.
2. No response to email. This app is glichy as all puk... It is not stable... And should be removed from the playstore if it's not going to be updated for compliance with later versions of android... I payed good money for this app - I would like a refund if you have no motivation to bring this app up to date... At no point during the purchase process was I told that this was abandonware or that it would only be developed for a specific version of android.SMB server had been working great, but Windows 10 will NO longer connect to shares because SMBv2 required.
3. It was incredibly useful, so I really hope it gets picked back up by the author or someone reputable someday, but meanwhile I've had to move on to other not nearly as good software options for what this used to be.About 40% of the servers don't work properly without ROOT (at least on my AT&T US Samsung Note 9).
4. But even worse, just discovered a serious issue with this Samba Server! Copied some large files from my Android phone to Windows using this Samba Server.
5. An SMS server with an API to use in automation would be nice. This used to be a great bundle of apps and servers.
6. Serious problem 4: SMB server only supports SMBv1 - obsolete, insecure, and deprecated - SMB1 not supported by Windows.
7. Problem 1: The FTP server does not allow write access to ExtSDcard storage.
8. Can NOT find SMBv2 protocol option in Servers Ultimate Pro SMB server configuration GUI.
9. Unfortunately, This hasn't been maintained and most of the servers are old, unpatched, and on versions of the software that can be unsupported if you are writing code you want to run or deploy (eventually).
10. Used to be great, but stopped working some years back (I assume due to changes in how Android works.) Now it can't save settings, open ports, etc etc.
11. On Samsung Note 10+ with Android 10, changing the theme does not work.
