1. Listen to great stories from the following ranges wherever you are: Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes, Blake's 7, Dark Shadows, 2000 AD (Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog), Terrahawks, The Avengers, The Prisoner, Torchwood, Survivors, The Omega Factor and more.
2. Download and store your library of Big Finish audio files on your Android device.
3. Download audio files direct to your Android device.
4. The best way to listen to your Big Finish audio books on your Android device.
5. WiFi is recommended when downloading large audio files.
6. Play each chapter in an audiobook in sequence or choose your starting chapter.
7. Filter your purchases by title, release date and purchase date.
8. Downloading files over data connection may incur a cost from your telecommunications provider.
1. Especially if you need to clear up some of your Storage Space, so I hope that can be fixed sometime down the line or just changed so it doesn't need to be downloaded to be placed in a playlist and isn't removed from the playlist if deleted either. This app is great, except the playlist feature, which lets you add individual tracks, but the interviews are always tacked onto the end of each track, instead of being their own separate "behind the scenes" track, so there is no way to playlist stories in this app without always being interrupted by interviews.
2. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! And I haven't even mentioned how lovely it is simply to have all my Big Finish audios ready to play on demand whenever the opportunity arises! The app is generally good when it comes to playback, but, at least on my phone, I have trouble getting it to update so as to gain access to newly-purchased content.
3. Also there was one audio (The Star Men) where I got Part 1 as a freebie and later bought the whole audio, so now I have duplicates in my list, and I don't know what to do about that, since you can't delete things from the list.Bought it to listen to my Doctor Who audio books, and its genuinely just a great app.
4. **Edit**: 3 stars now as the last update made playback stop anytime I go to a different app or lock my phone's screen. The app works very well and I have endless appreciation for the brilliant people at BF... that said there is room for improvement of the app, like anything else.
5. I do wish I didn't have to download things to my device to listen to them, since I already have storage issues with my phone as it is.
6. And it doesn't show you the numbering/ ID of the series/episode.Love this app! It's one of the only apps that remembers where the audio left off and picks it right back up again when I'm using Bluetooth in the car.
7. I considered logging out and then back in to try to trigger an update, but the app threatens to delete my content on the device upon logging out, so I am reluctant to go through with this and have yet to do so.I think the app is brilliantly made.
8. It runs smoothly, playback is quick (of course because you download the stories for easier playback and offline use), and its a very easy app to use.
9. I only have one real issue and that is the playlists, you can't put Audios into them unless they're downloaded which is rather annoying for me at times and can kind of make the playlists pointless.
10. So I have to download the mp3s, remove the interviews, and listen to them in another app.
11. My only issues are the audiobooks arent grouped in doctors which can make it messy and you cant buy any audiobooks from the app, but instead need to go to the website.
