My first booking I cancelled because I thought I booked the wrong car because the location was much further than I planned(it was listed as a couple blocks away and turned it to be over 10 blocks away), so I cancelled and rebooked a different car and the second place which was supposed to be 2 blocks was just as far in another direction so I spent 20 minutes of my rez walking at 4am)I am in Philly, good experience so far.

2. My most recent experience was that of getting a very badly crashed vehicle without my knowledge and having to return to the lot to only be told every other vehicle on the lot was dead.Cars from Getaround are unsafe and dangerous be careful! Use the app Turo that is 1000 times better.

3. I just started getting the security deposit warning on the latest update but it is only on some cars so I think that and the booking fee is based on a decision made by the host, not Getaround.

4. While Getaround's app and prices are fine, over the past year I've used the service, I feel I have spent more time with customer support than I have in a vehicle.

5. Good luck connecting to servers or GPS drift in a big concrete box in a city though.If you're booking a trip within the next hour, it would make sense to search where the cars *currently* are.

7. They are also transparent when they charge fees which I found to be an issue with zipcar.Getaround needs to stay on top of their hosts.

1. Fix Getaround Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Getaround: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Getaround App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Getaround" » Open Getaround - Instant Car Rental » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Getaround » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Getaround - Instant Car Rental app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Getaround servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Getaround - Instant Car Rental" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Getaround app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Getaround might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Getaround. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Getaround then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Getaround not working

2. Fix Getaround Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Getaround be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Getaround not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Getaround may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
