Why should I report an Issue with Avare?

3. Avare offers offline moving map on all FAA charts (VFR Sectional, IFR lo/hi enroute, Approach Plate, WAC & TAC); plus A/FD info, Airport Diagrams w/GPS Taxi, and Terminal Procedures.

5. Note: The FAA occasionally changes their charts such that outdated charts may incorrectly display your location in Avare, so be sure to Update any charts you may use in flight!

6. You can of course choose additional charts and materials for Avare to Download free at any time.

7. ANY time you plan to Update a chart, first ensure that you have the latest version of Avare and its Database.

8. All of this is Completely Free with no ads. *Note: Like all apps for portable devices, Avare is not FAA certified for primary navigation but may be used as outlined in FAA documents.

9. We recommend that you TURN OFF Play Store AUTOMATIC UPDATE for Avare, manually update it and all Downloads, then fly in Airplane Mode to save battery.

10. Launch Note: To access Help in the Avare app, on the Map screen tap the round Menu button, then the rectangular Help button at lower-left.

1. Edit: Thanks for the update! Solved the restart problem!I have an Android tablet that is so lame that is can not be used for internet however it works great for the Avare map app.

2. Only problem is that as of the last update, any time I open a different window on my device it loses all of the data and have to reenter the flight plan.

3. The last update destroyed the app, lost everything, multiple checklists, routes, weight and balance, plates....having to reload everything still can't get import lists to work, the location of files has changed and can't find it.

4. I recently connected it to Microsoft flight simulator 2020 after following some great instructions from a Reddit user and it works flawlessly.

5. You won't get real-time data other than location, but nav and saved data works great.I really like the app.

6. I have been using Avare on my tablet with the stratux adsb receiver.

7. If you set a destination that's not an airfield (because you want to fly to a certain location over the ground), it's hard to unset that point if you decide that you want to fly a different route.

8. Filing could be improved by adding options to select ICAO equipment and surveillance by a click on options menu rather than looking up and entering all those letters.Excellent EFB app.

9. It's just the basics - moving map, simple flight planning, etc., but it's easy to use and reliable.

1. Fix Avare Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Avare: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Avare App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Avare" » Open Avare » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Avare » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Avare app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Avare servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Avare" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Avare app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Avare might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Avare. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Avare then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Avare not working

2. Fix Avare Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Avare be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Avare not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Avare may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
