1. My phone wouldn't give any notifications (text, calendar, reminders, other apps) even when I WASN'T driving and the Drive Mode was "OFF." I disabled the Drive Mode yesterday and just like that I'm receiving ALL notifications and MMS messages.

2. It's installed and set up they way it should be, but (1.) the autoreply does not work, and (2) it puts my phone in "do not disturb" mode where it stays until I remember that I have to turn that off.

3. I tried to email the developer using the email provided here, but the email bounced back as undeliverable.It won't turn off! Plus, it won't allow me to see MMS messages, but sends the automated driving response.

4. I often have to terminate the program manually to access the phone.This app is supposed to allow calls when your phone is connected to bluetooth.

5. worst drive mode app I have seen.When app engages and I am listening to music or my Audible app, the DO NOT DISTURB mode engages and mutes the sound.

6. If the app would stop blocking calls and texts after a period of time when the app senses you are no longer driving that would be great functionality to add.

7. and this still sends texts to my car radio like it is not even on, but when the bluetooth disconnects it stays on and blocks me from just getting them on phone.

8. Overall, the app is ok... Update: I had to disable this app because it took over my phone, even when I was not driving.

9. (Did you mess with parental settings?) No bloatware seen...just penchant for shutting off my audiobook.It's not like Verizon's dive mode built into their texting app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix AT&T DriveMode Issues

1. Fix AT&T DriveMode Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart AT&T DriveMode: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the AT&T DriveMode App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "AT&T DriveMode" » Open AT&T DriveMode » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for AT&T DriveMode » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear AT&T DriveMode app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from AT&T DriveMode servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "AT&T DriveMode" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check AT&T DriveMode app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, AT&T DriveMode might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall AT&T DriveMode. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall AT&T DriveMode then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing AT&T DriveMode not working


2. Fix AT&T DriveMode Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make AT&T DriveMode be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to AT&T DriveMode not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, AT&T DriveMode may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
