DiDi Rider Customer Insights

1. You can't contact customer service through the app because it just sends you to articles and won't list any numbers to contact someone directly.App works great except for one thing: it is far too easy to cancel a ride just by hitting the wrong thing on the screen.

2. There needs to be a confirmation screen that pops up on a cancellation that says, "Are you sure you want to cancel this ride?" with Yes and No buttons.

3. The app should cancel the ride only after the Rider has clicked on the confirmation screen.The gps they give needs improvement and with the cancel trips.

4. If drivers take routes that are poor in gps we should be able to cancel with no fee.The app needs improvement on food deliveries.

5. So the feature is cool, but its annoying to need it so often.Payment system needs a lot of work.

6. I don't have this issue with same credit cards with uber.I'm not a huge user of the app but it's always available if I need it.

7. Weird 2 - it's good to have the cash option for when the electronic payment system is not working, but it doesn't work far too often.

8. It asks to enter the amount that is on hold on my card for verification and when I enter the exact amount that appears on my bank account it rejects it.

9. Then I drag the map over and it starts changing my pickup location and it's very hard to get back in the right spot because I can't see the part of the map where I am physically located because it's behind big buttons.If I could give this app a 0 I would.

10. Obviously not being able to use your credit card is a major defect and a show stopper.

11. I have an ongoing issue with the app where the driver went completely off course after I asked him to stay on the route the app was saying to.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix DiDi Rider Issues

1. Fix DiDi Rider Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart DiDi Rider: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the DiDi Rider App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "DiDi Rider" » Open DiDi Rider: Affordable rides » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for DiDi Rider » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear DiDi Rider: Affordable rides app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from DiDi Rider servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "DiDi Rider: Affordable rides" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check DiDi Rider app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, DiDi Rider might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall DiDi Rider. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall DiDi Rider then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing DiDi Rider not working


2. Fix DiDi Rider Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make DiDi Rider be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to DiDi Rider not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, DiDi Rider may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Good day, I would like to lay a complain. On the 27th of December I requested a ride but the driver never pitched but I was charged R96.00 for a service I never used. I need a refund.
