CVS/pharmacy Customer Insights

1. Was really interested in being able to shop online where I can select store pickup for the items that are available locally and save a ton by using the digital coupons but I guess it's back to Walmart I go! Small town living.I don't know if it's the app or the server (probably a misture of both), but every time I try to log on, I get an error message that the server can't be accessed and to try again.

2. I can get my medicine shipped, but can not add anything else to the order and everything I try to order it does this.I haven't even had the app 30 minutes and I can't check out because it won't allow me to update a shipping address and when I try to search for anything it closes the app sending an error message that this app has a bug and to try updating once the devlopers fix the issue.

3. When I finally turn off my VPN & expose myself to risk just to make CVS happy, I can only get to the OTP stage if I reset my Password, but after I do that, I'm back to Sq1 unable to get an OTP b/c the "Send Code" button is missing.

4. Tried rotating my screen to see if that might let me see the send button but the app doesn't rotate so I'm just beat.

5. Asked me if I preffered text or email verification but would not accept either choice I may try again If it doesn't work next time, I'll delete the app.

6. It tells me it wants to send a verification code to either my phone or email yet no matter which one you pick the screen never changes.

7. For something as important as medicine and it being the Digital Era, you'd think CVS would have a better app and server.This doesn't stop crashing.

8. I find myself uninstalling it frequently, just to make the mistake of re-installing it months later w the (false) hope it improved.The app is very slow to respond into query information.

9. I've tried logging several times over the past few months, and I get the same error message.

10. It freezes and crashes repeatedly, "apologizes" for the error, multiple different error messages appear, it signs you out constantly, etc., etc.

11. When dealing with prescriptions, doesn't give you great user functionality on trying to look up more information or the y to something.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix CVS/pharmacy Issues

1. Fix CVS/pharmacy Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CVS/pharmacy: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CVS/pharmacy App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CVS/pharmacy" » Open CVS/pharmacy » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CVS/pharmacy » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CVS/pharmacy app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CVS/pharmacy servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CVS/pharmacy" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CVS/pharmacy app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CVS/pharmacy might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CVS/pharmacy. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CVS/pharmacy then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CVS/pharmacy not working


2. Fix CVS/pharmacy Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CVS/pharmacy be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CVS/pharmacy not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CVS/pharmacy may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
