1. It's ok could some improvements.Terrible. Got a cash advance once, repaid and then ran into a issue with Plaid being able to connect to my account and was unable to access another (despite the $2.99 BS "bank connection fee" charge).

2. The update to receive instant deposit needs work, as the system is unable to verify my debt card with capone bank.It's ok....but the fact that I have to apply to see how much I get each time and it's basically changes.

3. Customer service needs to respond faster, and there needs to be a way to change repayment dates.4 days ago I submitted a ticket due to an immediate number change and have yet to hear from anyone at all.

4. The customer service was no help saying you can't use this bank account anymore, but you can add another one.

5. I'm deleting immediately when they process my payment.Charge you 2.99, and you have to request within a window of time to receive funds, and even that is unclear when if those funds are deposited.

6. Almost a week to process payment on their end? That's ridiculous, other cash advance apps it's either instantly or at least 2 days minimum.

7. Better off going to othersI was skeptical about trying this app out, I had a bank that is in their network and my account is not in the negative with direct deposit going in semi-monthly, I decided to give it a try.

8. I was not approved with another place called Possible, issue being I didn't have enough in my account to borrow a $100.

9. Update: I was able to take out a loan and paid it back, but it takes them a week to process the payment.

10. !! ITS NOT TRUST WORTHY AT ALL!!!I had been using the app for a while with no issues, and then it just disconnected from my bank.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Credit Genie Issues

1. Fix Credit Genie Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Credit Genie: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Credit Genie App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Credit Genie" » Open Credit Genie » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Credit Genie » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Credit Genie app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Credit Genie servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Credit Genie" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Credit Genie app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Credit Genie might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Credit Genie. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Credit Genie then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Credit Genie not working


2. Fix Credit Genie Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Credit Genie be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Credit Genie not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Credit Genie may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • They keep charging me and I do not use their service. I can’t access this account anymore. I have emailed them on this. To be told that I’m not charged. But I screen shot 2.99 charge on my account and sent it. No response.
