ColorSnap Customer Insights

1. I wanted to just be able to manually draw the area, but the app continued to confuse a part of the house with the sky! Argggggh!Incredibly frustrating! Everything looks great at the beginning with a huge variety of colors to choose, color matching from photos, etc.

2. There is no way to direct the color by masking certain spaces - it just paints the entire photo the same color if it can't decide where the edges are.So much potential and so many options but very frustrating to use.

3. Love that most of all!Would it kill you to allow us to use more than one color at a time? We want to see how colors look together.

4. It could probably be much better with just a few small tweaks to the logic, WHY NOT spend the time to get it right? In the color visualizer section, switching to your color of choice should not be such a chore to get back without starting over.

5. The app has given me no indication that there is any way to pair the two, there's literally nothing that appears, I've followed the directions exactly, maybe the colorsnap device is no good, either way, I'm done wasting my time.This app is more frustrating than helpful.

6. When you are searching for a color, the pallette section doesn't collapse down.

7. You choose a color then when trying to return to the project, it starts over and everything is lost.

8. The "Help" does not explain how to save your color or pallette and then use your pallette.

9. I love seeing the walls in my app painted in the color I'm considering.

10. Cant use the paint a photo feature because it always crashes when trying to browse files.

11. It's a pain to use! I imported a photo then went to find the 2 colors we'd chosen.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix ColorSnap Issues

1. Fix ColorSnap Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart ColorSnap: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the ColorSnap App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "ColorSnap" » Open ColorSnap® Visualizer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for ColorSnap » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear ColorSnap® Visualizer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from ColorSnap servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "ColorSnap® Visualizer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check ColorSnap app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, ColorSnap might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall ColorSnap. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall ColorSnap then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing ColorSnap not working


2. Fix ColorSnap Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make ColorSnap be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to ColorSnap not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, ColorSnap may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
