1. The weakness of this application is that there is no audio or vibration feedback when the correct direction has been detected (It is necessary for using app in the daylight!!!!).Great app would be much more better if the offset angles for dish were added, which you can manually enter on the app depending withthe type of dish being used, nice conceptBefore Apps like this it was a real pain setting up Sat Dishes, Using lousey field strength meters with a tone that indicated something was there.
2. Quick Google search to find the name of the satellite I wanted (Astra 2e for sky), get dish close by "eye", then have someone shouting the signal strength numbers while you make minor (millimetre) adjustments. The app is good and works for The purpose has made for it.
3. 10/10 would recommend if your teaching other to install satellite dishes or similar or looking to aligh or troubleshoot a pre installed satellite dish.so far so good, not been pestered with ads yet and appears to be accurate, because I know exactly where my astra satellite is and this app has pointed straight to it.
4. Also the map view with directional line is so much more practical than all the apps that use camera view to show 'where' the satellite is because that is all dependent on the GPS compass being accurate/calibrated when so often it isn't.
5. All you do is buy a satellite dish from Amazon and follow the instructions I had it working in about 15min after using this App.
6. The only thing I could ask for is the ability to cache the Google map so I can use the satellite view when I don't have a data connection.
7. Was expecting coordinates to follow, instead I got a line on Google Satellite.
8. When you use the App there is a red line on the map and that tells you were to point your dish and that is your starting point.Found Astra 2e on my first go.
9. I have both and using a protractor and compass its easy to use the data to preset positions prior to fine tuning.
10. If you set up VSAT terminals, this is THE app to have! So useful!! I like that it gives both true and magnetic azimuth, something so many pointing apps lack.
11. Google maps overhead photo to show you exactly where to point.
