Promova Customer Insights

1. Automatic 'subscription' after trial period does not show up in your Google play subscriptions, and in their emails of course the link to upgrade to premium (though they've already gone ahead and signed you up anyway) works, but the link to cancel it does not.

2. It seems well designed but there are more effective apps and platforms for learning.It's terrible that even after I paid this subscription, I must watch the noisy ad (commercial videos over 30 seconds) in the app so many times, and it is unable to skip.

3. Would maybe recommend it for someone with no Spanish background to learn basic vocabulary.For non-native speakers it's even more difficult to cancel.. Thinking $1 was for the app and had no clue, $19.99 would continue to come out.... To be honest, this is the worst app purchase I've done I'm absolutely pissed.

4. I guess that's the only lesson I learned from this app, never pay for the premium without knowing for sure if the app is actually good.I downloaded it after I saw an advertisement for advanced speaker features.

5. No one should endure a monthly subscription of something they were not even clear about whether it was a subscription service or not in the first place... unless clearly stated within the app the service and cost every buyer would feel cheated at some point.

6. 🙄 only gave me a refund after I insisted it was deceptive.Not for High Intermediate or Advanced Learners! I just asked for a refund.

7. I paid for premium and thought I was getting a personalized plan based off my current abilities.

8. On top of that, getting a refund is a nightmare, I just gave up and ate the lost money.

9. I bought the premium version of this last year after getting heavy advertising on IG.

10. I don't want to be stressed about it more.TERRIBLE - these guys very deceptively steal money from you.

11. I bought the premium because you can't see everything until you do, but it's just flashcards, and they aren't even good flashcards.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Promova Issues

1. Fix Promova Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Promova: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Promova App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Promova" » Open Promova » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Promova » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Promova app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Promova servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Promova" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Promova app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Promova might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Promova. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Promova then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Promova not working


2. Fix Promova Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Promova be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Promova not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Promova may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I want to unsubscribe and get my money back since I have been texting you for month and asking to unsubscribe and never got a word back from you. I have been charged twice. Once 20.99 and once 29.99 $.

  • Unknowingly signed up for premium membership. I claim full refund on unwanted subscription as I never used the app and not sure how the subscription was set up in the first place. I paid £109.89 in total for a service I never used.
